Why do some photographers still use black-and-white instead of color film?

Answered By Travis Partrige, Editor

There are many reasons why some professional photographers use black and white films. They use black and white film on a particular subject because it is more simple and artistic. Some say that they use black and white films because it offers deep dark blacks and crisp clean whites. Black and white photos tell a story, and colors do not distract the viewers but focuses on the subject more.
